# What's New in Remindlo: July 2026

> Recent product updates in Remindlo, including two new free tools (No-Show Policy Generator and Customer Communication Scorecard), pricing in Canadian and Australian dollars, Bacs Direct Debit payments, clearer SMS usage guidance, and more reliable calendar syncing.

This month we focused on two things: giving service businesses more free tools to attract and keep customers, and making Remindlo easier to pay for and rely on outside the UK. The headline additions are two new lead-generation tools, local-currency pricing for Canada and Australia, and support for paying by Bacs Direct Debit.

We also improved how Remindlo explains your SMS usage, fixed several calendar syncing edge cases, and made a number of smaller refinements across the marketing site and dashboard.

## **New Free Tool: No-Show Policy Generator**

Remindlo now includes a [free No-Show Policy Generator](https://www.remindlo.co.uk/no-show-policy-generator).

You enter your business name and email, and the tool builds a clear, professional no-show and cancellation policy that updates in a live preview as you type. When you are ready, Remindlo emails you a branded, print-ready PDF you can share with customers or add to your booking confirmations.

A written policy sets expectations, but it does not stop no-shows on its own. The tool and the follow-up email both explain how automatic reminders address the root cause, so a policy and timely reminders work together rather than in isolation.

## **New Free Tool: Customer Communication Scorecard**

We also launched a [free Customer Communication Scorecard](https://www.remindlo.co.uk/customer-communication-scorecard).

It is a short nine-question quiz that scores how well your business communicates across the whole customer journey: pre-visit reminders, automation, thank-you notes, review requests, win-backs, your contact list, personalisation, two-way messaging, and reporting. You answer one question at a time, then get a score, a tier badge, and a breakdown of exactly where the gaps are.

Each gap is mapped to the part of Remindlo that closes it, so the scorecard doubles as a practical checklist for improving customer communication, not just a number.

## **Pricing in Canadian and Australian Dollars**

Remindlo now shows pricing in Canadian dollars (CAD) and Australian dollars (AUD) in addition to the currencies we already supported.

Visitors from Canada and Australia see plan prices in their own currency, with time-zone-aware handling so the right currency is shown automatically. This makes it easier for businesses in those markets to understand what they will actually pay before signing up.

## **Pay by Bacs Direct Debit**

UK customers can now pay for Remindlo subscriptions and SMS packs using Bacs Direct Debit, alongside card payments.

Bacs payments settle over a few days rather than instantly, so we added handling for that delay. Your subscription and any purchased SMS packs are confirmed once the payment clears, and Remindlo accounts for the settlement window rather than treating the payment as failed while it is still processing.

## **Clearer SMS Usage Guidance**

We improved the SMS usage notifications so the guidance matches your plan.

Free and paid plans now receive advice tailored to their situation when usage runs low, and there is a clearer notice when you are approaching or have reached your SMS limit. The goal is to make it obvious what to do next, whether that is upgrading, buying an SMS pack, or enabling auto top-up, before reminders are affected.

## **More Reliable Calendar Syncing**

We fixed several edge cases in how Remindlo reads calendar feeds, which is especially important for Universal Calendar (ICS) connections.

- Event times that use a named time zone are now converted to UTC correctly, including daylight saving time, so reminders fire at the right moment.

- `webcal://` and `webcals://` calendar links are now recognised and normalised automatically, so you can paste a subscription URL without editing it first.

- Google Calendar polling and background jobs were made more robust, reducing the chance of missed syncs.

For businesses running reminders off [Outlook](https://www.remindlo.co.uk/blog/automate-appointment-reminders-outlook-calendar), [iCloud](https://www.remindlo.co.uk/help/icloud-calendar-sms-reminders), or another [ICS calendar](https://www.remindlo.co.uk/help/calendar-sms-reminders), these fixes make appointment times and reminder timing more dependable.

## **Industry Pages Now Highlight Calendar Sync and Photo Import**

We refreshed the industry landing pages with clearer messaging about how Remindlo fits into an existing workflow.

Each page now explains that you can connect your calendar and also import customers straight from a [photo of a paper appointment book or diary](https://www.remindlo.co.uk/blog/from-paper-diary-to-digital-reminders-in-30-seconds), so businesses that do not keep a digital contact list can still get started quickly.

## **Homepage and Navigation Improvements**

The marketing site received a few visible updates:

- A new social proof section on the homepage showing customer statistics and testimonials.

- A dedicated **Features** link in the main navigation, with layout and accessibility improvements to the menu.

- Clearer messaging on the Google Calendar section of the homepage.

## **Personalised Onboarding Emails**

Onboarding emails now include a personal signature, giving new sign-ups a warmer, more human welcome rather than a purely automated message.

## **Quick Answer Summaries on Blog Posts**

Blog posts can now include a Quick Answer block: a short TL;DR summary at the top of an article. This helps readers (and AI assistants) get the key takeaway immediately, before reading the full post.

## **Smaller Improvements**

We also shipped a number of smaller refinements:

- UK accounts now display times in 12-hour format with lowercase am/pm, matching local convention.

- The appointment dialog uses clearer titles, and visits now record which source they came from.

- The ROI Calculator and MOT Testing Station pages gained related-reading and FAQ sections for easier navigation.

- Behind-the-scenes reliability work on scheduled jobs, including monitoring for background-task authentication failures, to keep reminders and syncing running smoothly.

## **What This Means for Users**

The practical impact of this release is broader reach and fewer barriers.

If you are in Canada or Australia, you can now see pricing in your own currency. If you prefer Direct Debit, you can pay that way in the UK. And whether or not you are a customer yet, the two new free tools give you a way to tighten up your customer communication and no-show handling straight away.

Alongside that, the calendar reliability fixes and clearer SMS guidance make day-to-day use of Remindlo more predictable, so reminders go out at the right time, and you always know where your SMS allowance stands.
