End User Messaging Policy
Last updated: February 2026
This policy is for individuals who receive SMS text messages from businesses using the Remindlo platform.
About This Policy
Remindlo provides a software platform that enables businesses to send automated SMS appointment and service reminders to their customers. If you have received a text message from a business that uses Remindlo, this policy explains how messaging works and your rights.
The business that sent you the message (for example, your mechanic, veterinarian, or service provider) is responsible for obtaining your consent and managing your contact preferences. Remindlo acts as a technology provider that delivers messages on their behalf.
What Messages You May Receive
Messages sent through Remindlo are transactional reminders related to appointments, services, or scheduled visits. These are not marketing or promotional messages. Examples include:
- Appointment reminders (e.g., "Your MOT is due next week")
- Service reminders (e.g., "Time for your annual boiler service")
- Follow-up reminders (e.g., "Your pet is due for a vaccination")
- Booking confirmations and updates
Message Frequency
Message frequency varies depending on your appointments and service schedule with the business. You will typically receive messages when you have an upcoming appointment or when a recurring service is due. Most users receive between 1-4 messages per month, but this depends entirely on your relationship with the business.
Message and Data Rates
Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and phone plan. Remindlo and the businesses using our platform do not charge you for receiving messages, but your carrier may apply standard SMS rates. Contact your mobile carrier for details about your plan.
How to Opt Out (Stop Messages)
You can stop receiving messages at any time. Simply reply STOP to any message you receive. You will receive a confirmation message and will not receive any further messages from that business through our platform.
Other keywords that will opt you out: "STOPALL", "UNSUBSCRIBE", "CANCEL", "END", "QUIT", "OPTOUT", "REVOKE"
You can also contact the business directly and ask them to remove you from their reminder list.
How to Get Help
If you need assistance or have questions about messages you've received, you have several options:
- Reply HELP to any message for assistance
- Contact the business that sent you the message directly
- Email Remindlo at [email protected]
Consent and Your Relationship with the Business
The business that sends you messages is responsible for obtaining your consent before adding you to their reminder system. Typically, consent is collected when you:
- Provide your phone number to the business and agree to receive reminders
- Book an appointment and opt in to SMS notifications
- Sign a form or check a box agreeing to receive text reminders
Consent is not required for purchase: Your consent to receive SMS reminders is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services from the business.
If you believe you are receiving messages without your consent, please reply STOP to opt out and contact the business directly to resolve the issue.
How Your Information Is Used
When a business uses Remindlo to send you reminders, we process your phone number and any information included in the message (such as your name and appointment details) solely to deliver the SMS message.
We do not:
- Sell, rent, or share your phone number with third parties for marketing
- Use your phone number to send you marketing messages
- Share your information with other businesses
- Use your data for any purpose other than delivering messages on behalf of the business you have a relationship with
The business that collected your information is the data controller and is responsible for how your personal data is used. For questions about how the business uses your data, please contact them directly.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, or delete your information. To exercise these rights:
- Contact the business that sent you the message - they control your data and can fulfill most requests
- Reply STOP to immediately stop receiving messages
- Contact Remindlo at [email protected] if you need assistance or have concerns about our platform

UK: EE, O2, Vodafone, Three, Virgin Mobile, Tesco Mobile, giffgaff, and others.
