Does Fresha already send appointment reminders?

Yes. Fresha includes 20 free text messages a month and charges around 6p per message after that, and reminders go out automatically for anything booked in Fresha. If every client books through Fresha and a pre-visit nudge is all you need, that is probably enough on its own.

So why would I use Remindlo as well?

Because a booking platform can only message someone who has a booking. It has nothing to say to the client who last came in March and never rebooked. Those win-backs are where most of the recoverable revenue in a salon sits.

Is Remindlo cheaper than Fresha for sending texts?

Not per message. Fresha's SMS rate is lower than Remindlo's effective rate on the Starter plan, and we would rather tell you that than pretend otherwise. What Remindlo removes is the 20% new-client marketplace fee and the per-team-member subscription, and it sends messages Fresha has no way of sending at all.

Do I have to leave Fresha to use Remindlo?

No. Remindlo reads a Google Calendar, an Outlook calendar or any ICS feed, so it can sit alongside Fresha or any other booking system. It does not take over your bookings or your card payments.

Does Fresha still have a free plan?

Not in the UK. Fresha moved every UK business onto a paid subscription on 1 November 2025, at £14.95 a month for a single bookable calendar or £9.95 per team member with a minimum team size of two. Remindlo still has a free plan with 10 SMS every month.

Can Remindlo take bookings or deposits?

No. Remindlo sends reminders and can put your existing booking URL in the message. Bookings, deposits and card payments stay exactly where they are today.
